Kate Rudman

Social Entrepeneur, teacher, radio producer

What's my talk about?

I describe how our local youth media project in Torbay, Ocean Youth Radio, develops its participants' talent, employability and taste for social action. I talk about how our organisation encourages our producers and presenters to develop their own skills and share them with new recruits and how getting involved in a community of interest such as this can be a way into social entrepeneurship and employment.

You'll also meet our key employees who started working with us when they were 11. Now 18, Jack and Ricardo describe their journey with Ocean Youth and distill the key things that they have gained from their involvement.
